Experimental Japanese band goes pop

One of my favorite Japanese experimental bands, Boris, has released the new single for their upcoming album "Attention Please". The song is called hope, you can download it here.

The band has more than 20 full releases since they formed in 1996, ranging from Drone/Doom to fuzzy Rock n' Roll. Check out their wikipedia entry.

  1. Of Japanese music, I think it's mandatory to mention "Pillows". They made a soundtrack for FLCL anime and became known out of Japan for that, but even before that they had some great songs.

    Check it out.

  2. don't you hate it when they sing in English? I mean, they are Japanese, they should stick to their language.
